Pat kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Project Pat - What Cha Starin' At. Manoel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hino do Flamengo. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pat throws a shot from downtown. Manoel moves away and avoids it.
Manoel missing with a left hand there. Pat was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Manoel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Pat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manoel manages to avoid it.
Pat doesn't manage to clinch there - Manoel circles away.
Pat chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Manoel can pounce on him.
Pat displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Manoel throws out the jab.

Pat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manoel manages to avoid it.

Pat connects with a leg kick. Manoel looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manoel is trying to push Pat away but Pat has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Pat tries to throw a body punch but Manoel avoids it by throwing Pat back against the cage.

Manoel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pat looks to land a right hand but Manoel moved out of range.

Pat misses with a hook from the clinch.
Manoel blocks an uppercut.
Pat tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Pat tries to break the clinch but Manoel is controlling the position.

Pat throws a punch but it's blocked by Manoel.

Manoel blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

It looks like Antonio Manoel has been cut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Pat takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Manoel has Pat pressed against the cage, preventing Pat from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Manoel wants to break the clinch but can't.

Pat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pat fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Manoel manages to avoid it.
Pat dips to his left and cracks Manoel with an uppercut!

Pat is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice uppercut lands for Pat. That snapped Manoel's head back.
Manoel scores with a hook.
Manoel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pat looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pat takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Manoel misses with a left hand
and Pat counters with a nice kick to the body.
Manoel sizes up Pat with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
No joy there for Manoel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pat throws a body punch but Manoel moves out of range.
Manoel moves forwards but Pat connects with a nice, crisp jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Project Pat will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Manoel throws a wild body kick that Pat sees coming a mile off.
Manoel avoids the body shot from Pat.
Some bone on bone action there as Pat checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Pat catches Manoel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

That has opened up Antonio Manoel's cut even more.
Pat scores with a jab to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pat tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Manoel counters with a nice uppercut.
Pat tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Manoel is able to avoid easily.
Pat shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Manoel takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Pat sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Manoel bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
