Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva gets a clinch.
Silva using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gomez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Silva creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Gomez tries to land a knee to the head but Silva blocks with his arms.
Silva is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Gomez dodges an elbow strike from Silva.

Gomez drags the fight down to the ground.
Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Silva wants to stand and escape but instead Gomez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Gomez gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gomez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gomez off to one side.

Silva clinches up against the cage.

Silva lands a damaging elbow.
Silva throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gomez blocks it with crossed arms.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Silva obliges.
Gomez avoids a wild elbow strike from Silva.

Silva pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Silva throws an elbow that misses.
Gomez blocks the elbow strike.
Gomez tries for a takedown. No joy.

Rafael Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franco Gomez.

Gomez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.

Gomez has Silva pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gomez pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Silva tumbling to the mat - Gomez dives into Silva's guard.

Gomez tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.
Silva is looking to stand up but Gomez isn't so interested in that idea.
Silva trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Gomez gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting.
Rafael Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Gomez fails to land the takedown.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.

Gomez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Silva forces Gomez back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gomez is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Gomez swings away with an uppercut that misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Gomez tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Gomez drops back down to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Silva lands an elbow just above Gomez 's eye.

Silva is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Gomez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Gomez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Silva forces Gomez back against the cage and clinches.
Silva scores a nice knee to the body.

Gomez gets control of Silva's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gomez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Gomez looking for a triangle here. Silva is fighting it but it looks tight! Gomez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Silva is tapping out - this one is all over!
