Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinicius Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramos has chosen The Killers - Somebody Told Me as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Vinicius Ramos was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos misses with a looping left.
Ramos throws out a loose jab but Macintosh uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ramos gets caught napping as Macintosh dives in and scores a takedown. Ramos manages to retain guard.

Macintosh got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ramos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Macintosh has managed to get both his arms back between Ramos's legs - danger averted.
Ramos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macintosh sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Macintosh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Macintosh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ramos has his foot on Macintosh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Macintosh works his way back into a safe position though.

Ramos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Macintosh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Macintosh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ramos is on top in guard.

Ramos is fighting to break Macintosh's control of his arms but Macintosh is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Ramos has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Macintosh is working away from the top position though.

Macintosh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Macintosh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ramos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Ramos is trying to get back to full guard.
Macintosh wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ramos keeps working.

Macintosh is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ramos is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ramos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Macintosh tries to avoid it but Ramos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Macintosh to the ground. Macintosh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ramos tries to bum rush Macintosh with a series of wild strikes but Macintosh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Macintosh shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ramos is trying to defend but Macintosh finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Ramos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ramos is taking a breather. Macintosh says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ramos wants to pass the guard but Macintosh is keeping the position.

Macintosh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Macintosh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ramos defends well.

Well Ramos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
