Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonard Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ O Brian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Whiskey In The Jar. TJ O Brian is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
O Brian trying to control from the bottom.
O Brian makes his way to full guard. A much better position for O Brian.
O Brian working a defensive guard but Santos passes into half guard.
O Brian is looking to control Santos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can O Brian avoid being mounted?
O Brian avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Santos.
Santos not doing much here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santos seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down O Brian for as long as he can get away with.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santos working over O Brian with some ground and pound. O Brian looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
O Brian wants to get back to full guard but Santos has passed into side control.
Santos remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
O Brian takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Santos takes a little break here. O Brian wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

It looks like TJ O Brian has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

O Brian takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at TJ O Brian's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
