Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson scores with a one two! Pete had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Henderson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pete has time to react.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pete tries to bum rush Henderson with a series of wild strikes but Henderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Henderson fakes the leg kick and cracks Pete in the body.
Pete takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Henderson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Pete chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Henderson can pounce on him.

Henderson cracks Pete with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Henderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Henderson stuns Pete with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Henderson throws a right and a left that Pete avoids nicely.
Pete throws a hook but Henderson avoids it easily.

Henderson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Pete closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Henderson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Henderson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Henderson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pete back to the cage. Henderson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Henderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Henderson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pete manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Henderson has Pete in his guard.
Pete has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Henderson is proving hard to escape from.

Henderson is looking for a triangle but Pete pushes his legs off easily.
Henderson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pete manages to get himself to full guard.

Henderson slips nicely into half guard.

Henderson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pete sees it coming and defends easily.

Henderson is working for a submission of some sort.
Pete tries to roll over but Henderson keeps him under control.
Pete really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Henderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Henderson wants to take a breather but Pete is having none of it.

Henderson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pete defends it well.

Henderson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pete has managed to free his arm - good work.
Henderson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pete with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Henderson is keen to just control but Pete is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pete wants to improve his position but Henderson is controlling well.

Henderson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Pete tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Henderson!
