The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shields throws a big shot that misses.
Shields blocks a head kick by Bitonti.
Bitonti is looking to land body kicks.
Shields keeps the fight on the outside.
Shields tries to land a leg kick but Bitonti saw it coming and moves away.
Shields scores with a hook to the body. Bitonti takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bitonti throws a body punch but Shields moves out of range.

Bitonti cracks Shields with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Shields fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bitonti manages to avoid it.

Bitonti on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Shields.

Shields gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Shields looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bitonti is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bitonti wants to control from the top but Shields keeps moving.
