Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixie throws a hook but Mitchell blocks it.
Dixie throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mitchell's head.
Dixie looks to land a body kick but Mitchell moved away.
Mitchell lands a body shot.
Mitchell throws a lazy uppercut
and Dixie counters with a one-two to the body.
Dixie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Dixie misses with a body shot
and Mitchell counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dixie throws a hook but Mitchell blocks it.
Mitchell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dixie is fending him off so far but Mitchell persists. Nope, Dixie circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mitchell throws a wild body kick that Dixie sees coming a mile off.
Dixie just misses with a punch to the body.
Dixie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Dixie thuds a left hand into Mitchell's body.

Mitchell rushes Dixie and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mitchell is looking to control Dixie's arms but Dixie gets an underhook and turns him. Now Mitchell has his back to the cage.
Dixie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mitchell throws a lazy right hand but Dixie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dixie feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mitchells jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Mitchell throws a right and a left that Dixie avoids nicely.
Dixie goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mitchell feints and then cracks Dixie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dixie down.
Mitchell tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Mitchell's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dixie connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mitchell scrambles back to his feet.
Dixie throws a leg kick that is checked
and Mitchell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dixie looks to score with a jab to the body but Mitchell is just out of range.
Mitchell lunges at Dixie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dixie's hand.
Mitchell throws a sloppy head kick and Dixie moves out of range easily.
Mason Dixie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mitchell lands with a straight right. Dixie didn't see that one coming.
Mitchell stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dixie.

and Mitchell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mason Dixie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mitchell manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Dixie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Dixie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mitchell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dixie has managed to get both his arms back between Mitchell's legs - danger averted.
Dixie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mitchell is looking for a triangle but Dixie pushes his legs off easily.
Dixie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
