Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gilgamesh Prado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Preuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prado comes to the cage accompanied by Damian Marley - Welcome to Jamrock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gilgamesh Prado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandre Preuss!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preuss throws a hook but Prado avoids it easily.
Prado fails to land the takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Preuss. Those never looked like landing.
Preuss lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Prado at a distance.
Prado avoids a punch combination nicely.
Preuss rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Prado moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Preuss throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Prado.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Prado.
Prado shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Preuss but Preuss pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gilgamesh Prado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Preuss fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Prado gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Donk. Preuss catches Prado right on the button with a cross.
Preuss throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A head kick by Preuss misses
and Prado counters with a head kick.
Prado shoots for a double leg takedown but Preuss sprawls well. He's pushed Prado's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Donk. Preuss catches Prado right on the button with a cross.
Prado tries to close the distance and clinch up but Preuss swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Preuss throws a series of punches but Prado avoids them all with ease.
Prado looks for a takedown but Preuss sprawls well.
Prado tries to clinch there but Preuss circles away.
Horrible takedown by Prado or perhaps it was just good defense by Preuss which made him look bad.
Prado is breathing heavily.
Preuss works over Prado's head and body with a nice combination.

Prado shoots in for a double leg but Preuss sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Preuss lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Prado takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Preuss connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Prado's hands.

Preuss scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Prado shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Preuss as he jumps to the side.
Preuss works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Preuss jabs Prado to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Preuss with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A punch lands to the side of Prado 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Preuss lands a jab to the head.
Preuss cracks Prado with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Prado shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Prado shoots in but Preuss avoids the takedown attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Preuss finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Preuss throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Prado has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Prado there as he acknowledges the shot.
Preuss throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Preuss lands with an uppercut that bounces Prado off the cage and back into range.
Preuss misses with a lunging right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Preuss circles away from the clinch attempt.
Prado avoids the body shot from Preuss.
Preuss leaves Prado with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Preuss scores with a jab to the jaw.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Prado.
Prado looks for a takedown but Preuss sprawls well.

Preuss feints a jab promting Prado to slip. Preuss then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Prado slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Preuss does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Preuss will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Preuss paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Alexandre Preuss seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Preuss, as that shot connected.
Gilgamesh Prado is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Prado fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Preuss avoids it really well and circles away.
Prado drops his hands momentarily and Preuss takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Prado shoots in and drives through. Preuss sprawls well.

Preuss fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Preuss tests Prado's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Preuss.

Preuss cracks Prado with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Prado tries to close the distance and clinch up but Preuss swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Preuss fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Preuss pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Preuss lands with a good body shot.
Preuss throws a combination. Prado tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Prado takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Prado takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Preuss misses with a low kick as Prado jumps back.

Alexandre Preuss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Prado looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Preuss cracks Prado with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Preuss shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Prado eats them both and turns towards Preuss to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Alexandre Preuss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Prado doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Prado with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Prado throws some wild stikes that Preuss manages to avoid easily.
Preuss tries to get back to half guard but can't.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Prado wants to control the pace but Preuss is squirming around nicely.

Preuss really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Prado fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Preuss keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gilgamesh Prado has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alexandre Preuss is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Prado looking to secure an arm triangle but Preuss defends it well.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gilgamesh Prado.
I think Preuss has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Alexandre Preuss spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
