Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Juan Peron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peron digs a good hook to Jackson's body.
Peron defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson.
Peron lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Peron tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Peron manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Peron manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Peron sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jackson wanted to stand there but Peron had control of the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Juan Peron will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
