Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Super Trooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danilo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trooper comes to the cage accompanied by №1. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trooper steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alves.
Alves is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Trooper lands with an uppercut that bounces Alves off the cage and back into range.
Alves throws a head kick but Trooper moves out of range.

Alves gets the takedown into side control.
Trooper gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Alves throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Alves is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Alves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trooper circles away quickly and effectively.

Alves avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Alves tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alves throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alves tries to close the distance and clinch but Trooper swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Trooper counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Danilo Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Trooper gets a double leg takedown into Alves's guard.
Alves not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Trooper stands and throws Alves's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Trooper drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trooper jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Super Trooper will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Trooper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alves throws out a loose jab but Trooper uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Trooper takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Alves feints and as Trooper raises his hands in defense, Alves changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Trooper has his foot on Alves's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alves works his way back into a safe position though.

Trooper can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Alves is looking to escape.
Alves wants to control but Trooper is having none of it.

Trooper jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Alves is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Alves and Trooper has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Trooper thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Trooper wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alves, who protects the arm well.
Alves on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alves is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Trooper is controlling him well.
Alves tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Trooper wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Super Trooper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Trooper goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Alves turns into him and now he's in Trooper's guard.

Alves throws a strike but Trooper rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Trooper wants to control from the top but Alves keeps moving.

Alves is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Trooper is aware though and is defending well.
Trooper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alves's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trooper pushes down on Alves's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Trooper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alves's guard.
Alves wants to stand up but Trooper is controlling him.

Danilo Alves has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Alves just misses with a elbow thrown towards Trooper's brow.
Alves drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Super Trooper showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trooper, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
