Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Galaxy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mario Galaxy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galaxy misses with a series of wild punches.
Galaxy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hill shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Galaxy throws a right and a left that Hill avoids nicely.

Galaxy stuffs the takedown attempt from Hill. Hill gets slowly back to his feet.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Galaxy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Galaxy tries to bench press Hill off him but Hill keeps the position.

Hill thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Galaxy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hill.
Galaxy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hill circles away quickly and effectively.
No joy there for Galaxy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A decent looking cross lands there for Galaxy.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hill.

Galaxy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hill shoots in but Galaxy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hill is breathing heavily.
Hill closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nice takedown defense from Galaxy. No joy for Hill on that attempt.
Galaxy throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Hill's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Galaxy dives in looking to finish as Hill flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Galaxy's strikes! Galaxy is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Hill's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Hill was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
