The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boykin looks for a takedown but Stein sprawls well.

Oooooh!!! Stein has knocked Boykin down with a huge combo! Stein steps away and waves a wobbly Boykin back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Dimentiy Boykin has been cut.

Nice uppercut lands for Stein. That snapped Boykin's head back.

Stein takes a swing at Boykin's ribcage but misses.
Stein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boykin moves away.
Boykin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stein as he jumps to the side.
Stein pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Stein tries to bum rush Boykin with a series of wild strikes but Boykin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
No luck for Boykin with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimentiy Boykin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Boykin scores with a takedown into Stein's guard.
Stein wants to stand and escape but Boykin is having none of it.
Stein really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boykin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Stein can't keep his opponent in guard - Boykin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stein wants to stand back up but Boykin manages to pass into side control.

Boykin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Boykin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Boykin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Boykin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stein sprawls well. Stein wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boykin gets slowly back to his feet.

Stein steps in with a hook that catches Boykin right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Stein follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Boykin looks absolutely devastated.
