Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Arealius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arealius kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Ministry Rock. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arealius closes the distance and clinches.
Silva drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Arealius gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Come on Arealius - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Arealius is trying to break free.

Silva gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Silva wants to control from the top but Arealius keeps moving.
Silva stops Arealius from standing up.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Arealius pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet.
Silva walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Arealius tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Arealius ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.

and Silva moves into the clinch.
Silva tries to stall but Arealius uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Arealius wants to get back to striking at distance but Silva won't allow it.
Arealius wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the cage.
Arealius wants to break free but Silva has control.
Silva tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Arealius escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Arealius is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Arealius misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Arealius is breathing heavily.
Arealius throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Arealius throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Arealius shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Anthony Arealius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernardo Silva.

Arealius breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arealius lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Arealius manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Silva keeps control of Arealius as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Arealius escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Arealius is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
