The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Materson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Velazquez listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

It looks like Mike Materson has been cut.
Velazquez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Velazquez changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Velazquez lands a big uppercut and Materson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Materson looks OK. Velazquez waves Materson back to his feet!

Materson leaves his chin hanging out and Velazquez seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Materson crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
