PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Krakowitsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes to the cage accompanied by Gonna Fly Now (metal version by Sylvain Cloux). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rocky Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Krakowitsky!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Krakowitsky lands but Walker takes it in his stride.
Walker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Krakowitsky eats them both and turns towards Walker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Yuri Krakowitsky has been cut.
Krakowitsky fails with an attempt to clinch.
Walker tries to bum rush Krakowitsky with a series of wild strikes but Krakowitsky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Walker throws a series of punches but Krakowitsky moves out of range.
Krakowitsky tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Walker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Krakowitsky ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Krakowitsky no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Krakowitsky wants to get back to his feet but Walker passes into half guard.

Walker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Walker.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rocky Walker will probably get the nod.
