The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabbar throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Brandon Jacobs has been cut.
Jabbar connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jacobs's hands.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jacobs.
Jabbar wants to control but Jacobs postures up.

Jacobs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jabbar is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jacobs goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jabbar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jacobs but great work by Jabbar.

Jabbar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jabbar throws a nice outside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jabbar shoots in and bounces Jacobs off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jabbar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jacobs has his foot on Jabbar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jabbar works his way back into a safe position though.

Jabbar controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Jacobs looking for a guillotine here but Jabbar defends easily.
Jacobs looks gassed!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jabbar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacobs swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jacobs is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Jabbar frees his head nicely. Oh but Jacobs has switched to an armbar! Jabbar is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
