PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ray Rojer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fletcher is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gallows - London is the reason. On his way into the cage it seems that Ray Rojer has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ray Rojer seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

With a record of 4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Fletcher!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fletcher feints a jab promting Rojer to slip. Fletcher then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Rojer slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Rojer rushes Fletcher and presses him up against the cage.

Rojer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fletcher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fletcher misses with a two punch combination.
Rojer misses with a takedown attempt - Fletcher sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Rojer throws a head kick that half lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnny Fletcher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fletcher buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fletcher has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rojer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Fletcher has had enough of the clinch but Rojer keeps him there for the moment.

Rojer avoids the head kick by Fletcher.

It looks like Johnny Fletcher has been cut.

Fletcher throws an elbow that misses. Rojer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fletcher's guard. Nice move by Rojer!
Fletcher is looking to stand up but Rojer isn't so interested in that idea.
Fletcher is breathing heavily.
Rojer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Rojer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fletcher tries to bum rush Rojer with a series of wild strikes but Rojer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rojer looks to land a combination. Fletcher sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Crunch! Rojer slams his shin into Fletcher's torso.
Fletcher throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rojer sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Rojer digs a right hand into Fletcher's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Fletcher's gas tank.

Fletcher jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rojer walks away with a smile on his face. Fletcher gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ray Rojer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fletcher throws a right hand that Rojer ducks under and follows up with a left that Rojer also avoids with ease.
