Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dingle Berrian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Danza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berrian comes to the cage accompanied by Run This Town. Danza has chosen Who's the Boss as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dingle Berrian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Danza!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Danza rushes Berrian and presses him up against the cage.
Danza throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Berrian blocking some punches.
Berrian tries to stall but Danza uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A hook to the body from Danza.
Danza lands a right hand.
Danza fails to pull guard.
Berrian tries to break the clinch but Danza is controlling the position.
Berrian is trying to break the clinch but Danza has him pressed against the cage.
Berrian blocks a body shot from Danza.
Berrian is trying to push Danza away but Danza has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Berrian's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Danza takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Danza crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Berrian - the referee stops the clock and Danza gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Berrian. Danza manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Berrian throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Danza tries to clinch but Berrian moves out of range.
Danza tries to close the distance and clinch but Berrian swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Berrian misses with a low kick.
Danza tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Berrian feints and then cracks Danza's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Danza down.
Berrian throws a head kick but Danza moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Danza shoots in looking for a takedown. Berrian tries to sprawl out of it but Danza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Berrian manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Berrian displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Danza throws out the jab.
Berrian keeps the fight on the outside.
Berrian connects with a leg kick. Danza looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Berrian plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Berrian swats away the attempt to clinch by Danza.

Danza dives in and scores a takedown into Berrian's guard.
Danza slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Berrian is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Berrian regains half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Berrian is trying to maintain the position but Danza is very close to passing his half guard.
Danza is taking a breather. Berrian says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Danza works his way into full mount!
Danza wants to control the pace but Berrian is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Danza throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Danza thowing shots but they're missing.
Berrian wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Danza.
Danza connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Danza lands a heavy elbow.
Berrian avoids a series of strikes thrown by Danza.
Danza sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Danza raining down hammerfists from mount.
Danza tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Poor strikes thrown by Danza there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Berrian is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Danza misses with a head shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Berrian is looking to improve his position but Danza isn't that keen on the idea.
Berrian is working hard here to advance position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Danza dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Berrian connects with a solid leg kick.
Danza tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Berrian paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Berrian throws a head kick but Danza moves out of range.
Berrian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Danza shoots in for a takedown but Berrian shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Danza tries to clinch but Berrian is having none of it.
Danza takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Danza is looking to clinch.
Berrian looks for the body kick but Danza saw that one coming.
Berrian throws a jab when Danza was well out of range.
Berrian throws a head kick that misses.
Danza closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Danza shoots in and gets a takedown into Berrian's guard.
Berrian trying to control the position.
Danza wants to control from the top but Berrian keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Danza postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Danza sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Berrian's guard.
Berrian keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Danza thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Danza controlling the action here.
Danza is keen to just control but Berrian is a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tony Danza wasn't active enough on the ground.

Danza has closed the distance and engaged Berrian in a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Danza fails to land.

Berrian escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Danza bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Berrian's head.
Danza fails with an attempt to clinch.
Berrian misses with a head kick.
Berrian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Danza tries to clinch there but Berrian circles away.
Danza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Berrian as he avoids it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Danza throws a jab but it's blocked by Berrian.
Berrian attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Dingle Berrian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Danza fails with an attempt to clinch.
Berrian throws a sloppy head kick and Danza moves out of range easily.
Berrian throws a head kick that misses.

Danza closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Danza lands in his opponent's guard.
Danza trying to control but Berrian is working from the bottom.
Danza pushes down on Berrian's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Danza is stalling here. Berrian is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Danza seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Berrian has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Danza tries to improve position but can't.
Danza manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Berrian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Danza wants to take a breather but Berrian is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Danza frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Danza lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Danza showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fight stays on the outside here - Danza looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Danza moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Berrian has worked his arm free - good work by Berrian!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Danza misses with the ground and pound.
Dingle Berrian has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Danza looking to control but instead Berrian has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Berrian knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Danza on the ground.
Danza content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Tony Danza comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Danza winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
