PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seth Wray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorgio Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wray comes to the cage accompanied by The Leprechan Song. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seth Wray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Giorgio Rossi!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wray uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Wray throws a jab but it's blocked by Rossi.
Rossi blocks a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wray, as that shot connected.
Rossi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Wray swivels and escapes.
Decent striking displayed by Wray there.
Wray stuffs the takedown attempt from Rossi. Rossi gets slowly back to his feet.
Rossi moves out of range as Wray strikes.
The fighters circling - Wray throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rossi moves away from the strike by Wray.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rossi lands with a nice body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rossi throws a body punch but Wray moves out of range.
Wray moves in looking to clinch but Rossi pushes him off.
Seth Wray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Wray misses the target.
Wray slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Wray misses with an uppercut.
Rossi takes one on the button.
Rossi misses with a takedown attempt
and Wray cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Giorgio Rossi has been cut.
Seth Wray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giorgio Rossi.
Wray's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rossi under the eye.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rossi takes one to the side of the head.

Wray fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Rossi is still on wobbly legs! Can Wray finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wray fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Rossi to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Rossi looks to clinch but Wray throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Rossi taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
