Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Atom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinn Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Johnson's choice of entrance music: Ice Cube - It Was a Dood Day. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atom closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Atom lands in his opponent's guard.

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Atom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Atom thows a huge punch but Johnson dodges it nicely.
Atom takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Johnson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Atom tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Atom throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Atom sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Atom cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Johnson is trying to stand up.
Atom postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Johnson looks a forlorn figure.

Atom is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Johnson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Johnson is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Johnson throws a right hand that Atom ducks under and follows up with a left that Atom also avoids with ease.
Atom tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Atom throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Atom off to one side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Atom is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Atom.

Johnson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Atom falls backwards - clearly groggy! Johnson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
