PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Bonny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knox has chosen Voices as his entrance music. Johnny Knox told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knox has Bonny up against the cage in a clinch.
Knox looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bonny pushes Knox back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Bonny turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bonny manages to end up in side control.
Bonny lands a few punches from side control.
Bonny creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Knox sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Bonny tries to advance to mount but can't.
Bonny is chipping away with strikes.
Bonny working the ground and pound but Knox is defending the strikes.
Bonny lands a few punches from side control.
Knox is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Knox is looking for a sweep.
Bonny cracks Knox with a big right hand but Knox just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Knox takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bonny looks up at the clock and then as Knox takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bonny smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Bonny moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Bonny has hold of Knox's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Knox tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bonny cranks the arm and Knox screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Knox, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
