The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones cracks Marinoykin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jones lands a slapping body shot.
Marinoykin shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Jab by Jones.
A jab from Jones finds it's way through Marinoykin's defenses.
Marinoykin moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Marinoykin tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.

Marinoykin shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rocky Jones.
Jones works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Marinoykin off the cage and back into range.

and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Marinoykin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Marinoykin gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Jones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Marinoykin momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marinoykin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Marinoykin.

Marinoykin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.

Marinoykin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jones has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Marinoykin but great work by Jones.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Marinoykin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jones wants to stand but Marinoykin has his arm trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rocky Jones dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jones shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Marinoykin eats them both and turns towards Jones to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Jones scores with the left hand. Marinoykin knows he should have avoided that one.
Jones connects with a looping right hand.
Marinoykin dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Marinoykin's head and hops out.

Rocky Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones digs a good hook to Marinoykin's body.
Jones moves into range and connects with a jab.
Marinoykin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Marinoykin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Marinoykin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Marinoykin looks up at the clock. Bad move! Jones lands a right hand from hell, dropping Marinoykin. Jones pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
