Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eric Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bj Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnett comes to the ring accompanied by Thoughtless by KoRn. bj Ferguson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric Barnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bj Ferguson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferguson dives in and scores a takedown into Barnett's guard.

Ferguson stands up and waves to Barnett to follow him.
Ferguson swings for the body but Barnett moves out of range.
Barnett scores with a jab.
Barnett throws a head kick that misses.
Barnett works over Ferguson's head and body with a nice combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ferguson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Barnett moves into the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Ferguson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Barnett has Ferguson pressed against the ropes, preventing Ferguson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Barnett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Barnett feints and then cracks Ferguson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ferguson down.

Ferguson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Barnett is trying to defend but Ferguson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Barnett trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Ferguson thows a huge punch but Barnett dodges it nicely.

The ref stands the fighters back up. bj Ferguson was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Barnett just misses with a punch to the body.
Ferguson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Barnett uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Ferguson walks into a straight right hand from Barnett.
Barnett fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ferguson.
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barnett but Barnett pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ferguson shoots in looking for a takedown. Barnett tries to sprawl out of it but Ferguson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Barnett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Eric Barnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of bj Ferguson.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ferguson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barnett sprawls well. Barnett wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferguson gets slowly back to his feet.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Barnett, right into the meat.

Barnett is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Ferguson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Barnett. That one must have hurt.
No luck for Ferguson with that takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barnett lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Barnett closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Ferguson is breathing heavily.
Barnett lands a hook that snaps the head of Ferguson backwards.
Barnett comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Ferguson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barnett just stands there and leans against the ropes.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
