Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christian Samuelsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Samuelsson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pretty Fly. Ken Gonzalez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez throws a sloppy head kick

Samuelsson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Samuelsson has gone for a leg lock! Gonzalez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Samuelsson's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee asks Samuelsson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Samuelsson prefers to stall for the moment though.

Samuelsson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gonzalez knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gonzalez for a finish.

Samuelsson has hold of Gonzalez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gonzalez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Samuelsson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gonzalez is now in Samuelsson's guard. A big mistake from Samuelsson there, giving up the dominant position!

Gonzalez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Samuelsson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gonzalez has managed to get both his arms back between Samuelsson's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
