Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Awmtea Sailo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyotaka Shimizu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiyotaka Shimizu has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Awmtea Sailo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sailo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sailo wants to clinch up but Shimizu keeps it at a distance.
Shimizu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sailo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shimizu.
Shimizu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shimizu tries to keep at a distance but Sailo has taken the fight into the clinch.
Shimizu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sailo has him pressed against the cage.
Sailo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Shimizu avoids it.
Shimizu keeps control of Sailo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sailo taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Sailo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sailo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Shimizu postures up in Sailo's guard and throws a big left but Sailo blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shimizu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sailo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shimizu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Shimizu tries to free his leg and advance position but Sailo is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shimizu is working Sailo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Sailo looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sailo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Shimizu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Shimizu advances to half guard.
Shimizu is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Shimizu looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Shimizu should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sailo looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Sailo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Shimizu.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sailo won't allow Shimizu to pass to mount.
Shimizu is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Shimizu thows a huge punch but Sailo dodges it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shimizu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sailo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Sailo tries to roll over but Shimizu keeps him under control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shimizu lands a nice short elbow.
Sailo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sailo.
Shimizu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Shimizu has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sailo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Shimizu is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sailo pulls down on the head and he's put Shimizu to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Awmtea Sailo!
