Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brock Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Krull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by All that Remains-Not Alone. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Krull!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krull showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hughes.
Hughes throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hughes lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Krull is looking to clinch but Hughes is avoiding it.
Hughes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Krull avoids the head kick by Hughes.
Krull tries to clinch but Hughes moves out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Hughes as Krull shoots in.
A slapping leg kick lands for Krull.
A head kick from Hughes lands but Krull takes it in his stride.
Hughes misses with a series of wild punches.
Hughes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krull moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Krull is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hughes.
Hughes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hughes feints and then cracks Krull's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Krull down.
Hughes throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hughes swats away the attempt to clinch by Krull.

Hughes moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Hughes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hughes throws a right and a left that both miss.
Krull fails to land the takedown.
Don Krull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hughes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hughes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Krull tries to hold on but Hughes pushes him away.

Krull regains half guard.
Krull is holding on to half guard well.

Hughes wants to free his trapped foot but Krull is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hughes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Krull won't allow Hughes to pass to mount.

Hughes is working for a submission of some sort.
Krull regains full guard. Nicely done.

Hughes is looking for a kimura but Krull is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hughes to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Krull wants to get back to full guard.
Hughes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Krull does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hughes has hold of Krull's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Krull manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Krull is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Krull regains half guard.

Krull gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Hughes dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Hughes throws a right hand that Krull ducks under and follows up with a left that Krull also avoids with ease.
Krull shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Hughes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Krull is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Krull wants to stand up but Hughes is controlling him.
Krull thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Krull wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hughes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hughes with a flurry of punches that miss.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Krull trying to control the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Hughes tries to bum rush Krull with a series of wild strikes but Krull uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A right-left combo lands from Hughes.
Hughes misses with a head kick.
Krull wants to clinch
and Hughes counters with a left and a right that stings Krull.
Hughes cracks the inside of Krull's front leg.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Krull.
Hughes is looking to reverse the position.

Krull thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hughes manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Krull wants to advance to full mount but Hughes doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Krull pushes down on Hughes's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Hughes is defending against the submission attempts here by Krull.
Hughes is looking to control Krull's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hughes avoid being mounted?
Krull seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Hughes is looking to escape.
Hughes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Krull is working away from the top position though.

Krull looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Well, if Krull is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Hughes is refusing to be controlled, as Krull sits in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hughes is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Krull pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brock Hughes will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Hughes misses with a body kick.
Hughes throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hughes scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Krull feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Krull stands and throws Hughes's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hughes tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Krull tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krull has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hughes is trying to control Krull's posture but Krull avoids it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Krull has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A right-left combo lands from Hughes.
Hughes shoots for a double leg takedown but Krull sprawls well. He's pushed Hughes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Krull tries to clinch but Hughes moves away
and Hughes counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Krull is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Brock Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Krull.

Krull fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hughes sprawls well initially but Krull persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Don Krull has got the better of the ground game so far.

Krull tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
