PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kay Jerico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kage qq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kage qq told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerico shoots in and drives through. qq sprawls well.
Jerico swats away the attempt to clinch by qq.
qq is looking to clinch.
Jerico shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
qq doesn't manage to clinch there - Jerico circles away.
qq tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jerico manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jerico throws a looping overhand right but qq ducks down to avoid it.

qq wants to clinch up but Jerico keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - qq looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kage qq seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jerico shoots for a double leg takedown but qq sprawls well. He's pushed Jerico's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
qq is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

qq stands up and waves to Jerico to follow him.

qq lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jerico falls backwards - clearly groggy! qq dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
