The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson misses with a kick to the body
and Jackson counters with a nice uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thompson. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Thompson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thompson throws a lazy uppercut
and Jackson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Thompson lands a leg kick that knocks Jackson off balance momentarily.
Thompson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Thompson feints and then cracks Jackson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jackson down.

and Jackson makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Thompson really felt that one!

Good leg kick by Jackson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Thompson tries to score with a low kick but Jackson moves his leg out of the way.

Thompson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thompson looks to land a left hand but Jackson moved out of range nicely.
Jackson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jackson throws a leg kick which misses Thompson's front leg but catches the back leg as Thompson tries to avoid it.
Tane Thompson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Jackson fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Jackson connects with an inside leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thompson.
Jackson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Thompson ducks down to avoid it.
Jackson looks for the body kick but Thompson saw that one coming.
Thompson tries to clinch up.
Jackson misses with a low kick.
Nice straight punches there by Jackson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jackson.
Thompson is looking to chop away at Jackson's legs.
Jackson circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Thompson to the canvas! Thompson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Jackson keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
