PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Fuller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lajby Lajos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fuller is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Lajby Lajos told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lajos lands a left and a right that send Fuller crashing to the mat, dazed. Lajos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Eric Fuller's cut is getting worse.
Fuller is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lajos clinches.

Lajos gets control of Fuller's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lajos will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lajos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lajos tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lajos lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fuller!
Fuller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lajos content just to control the position here.
Fuller avoids a series of strikes thrown by Lajos.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lajos throwing strikes here but Fuller is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Poor strikes thrown by Lajos there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Let's hope that Lajos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lajby Lajos was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Lajos lands the left hand.

Eric Fuller's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Oooooh!!! Lajos has knocked Fuller down with a huge combo! Lajos steps away and waves a wobbly Fuller back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Nice takedown defense from Fuller. No joy for Lajos on that attempt.
Oh Fuller is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lajos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fuller defends it nicely.

Lajos lands a huge takedown. Fuller is out but the ref is slow to react and Lajos lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Fuller lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
