Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tek Jansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonathan Hall has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tek Jansen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tek Jansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Hall!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Hall throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jansen on the side of the head.
Tek Jansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jansen instigates a clinch.
Hall makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Hall stalling the fight.
Hall gets through Jansen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.


It looks like Tek Jansen has been cut.

Jansen is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hall is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jansen to the mat. Jansen regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jansen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hall is one step ahead there.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Hall thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jansen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jansen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hall controls the pace.
Hall connects with a couple of short punches.
Hall is pushing down on Jansen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jansen is fighting to maintain full guard but Hall has managed to sneak the leg through.

Jansen is looking for a sweep. Hall is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hall lands a nice short elbow.

Jansen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hall scores with a couple of nice shots.

It looks like Hall might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hall looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jansen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hall lands strikes from half guard.
Hall not doing much here.
Hall's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jansen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Hall uses his free foot to push down on Jansen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jansen.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jansen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jansen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hall punishes Jansen's body with a nice straight punch.

Hall closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jansen to the mat! Jansen manages to get full guard.

Jansen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hall controls the pace.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hall distracts Jansen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Hall seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Hall working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Hall lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Hall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jansen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hall.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hall thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jansen's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jonathan Hall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Hall feints a jab promting Jansen to slip. Hall then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jansen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Hall takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Good shot there by Hall.
Hall throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jansen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hall cracks Jansen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jansen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hall finish him?


Jansen is rocked!
Hall lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Oh Jansen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jansen moves into range and clinches up with Hall.
Jansen seems to have got his legs back now.

Hall drops Jansen onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jansen is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Jansen misses with a knee to the head.
Jansen is pressed up against the cage. Hall has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jansen down to the mat. Jansen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jansen gets a clinch.
Jansen tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Hall softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Jansen trying to stall but Hall improves his position.
Hall manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hall scores with a shot to the side of Jansen's head.
Hall lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hall scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Hall dips a shoulder and cracks Jansen with a mighty uppercut! Jansen falls back against the cage and Hall unloads with a barrage of strikes! Jansen is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Hall screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jonathan Hall!
