Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcin Mizinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Angeil!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angeil keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Angeil avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mizinski shoots in but no luck this time.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mizinski.
Mizinski trying to control the action but Angeil is working from the bottom.
Angeil tries to improve position but can't.
Mizinski taking a break here but Angeil is having none of it and regains half guard.
Angeil is looking to escape.
Mizinski passes the guard and advances to mount!

Angeil escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Angeil closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Angeil works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Mizinski wants to sweep here but Angeil controlling him for the moment.
Angeil throwing strikes but missing.
Mizinski is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Angeil in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Angeil decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Angeil throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Angeil shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Angeil was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Angeil pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Angeil lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Angeil scoring with strikes but Mizinski is staying in there.
Mizinski tries to hold on but Angeil pushes him away.
Mizinski is trying desperately to improve position.

Mizinski is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mizinski is looking to improve his position but Angeil isn't that keen on the idea.

Mizinski slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Mizinski wants to control but Angeil is keeping busy.
Mizinski wants to get back to his feet.
Mizinski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Angeil tries to free his leg and advance position but Mizinski is retaining full guard.
Angeil stops Mizinski from standing up.

and Angeil counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcin Mizinski. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Angeil pulls Mizinski into guard.
Angeil is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Angeil wants to stand and escape but Mizinski is having none of it.
Angeil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mizinski's guard.

Angeil shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Angeil is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mizinski is surviving well by controlling Angeil's body position as best he can.
Mizinski is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Mizinski keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mizinski tries to hold on but Angeil postures up.
Mizinski is trying desperately to improve position.
Angeil is in the full mount, landing strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mizinski manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Angeil really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mizinski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Angeil slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Angeil had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mizinski is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Angeil Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mizinski's back instead.

Mizinski wants to escape the position.
Angeil connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Mizinski to escape the position.
Mizinski breaks Angeil's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Mizinski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Mizinski wants to control from the top but Angeil keeps moving.

Mizinski avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Angeil pushes Mizinski off and scrambles back to his feet.
Angeil scores with a sloppy right hand. Mizinski should have avoided that one.

and Angeil counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Angeil must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Angeil wants to stand but Mizinski is controlling his posture from full guard.

Mizinski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mizinski is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Angeil is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Angeil bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Mizinski seems to have got his legs back now.
Angeil lands a brutal head kick. Mizinski looks out on his feet and Angeil throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
