The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mathieux ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mayweather moves away.
Mathieux thows a body shot but no joy.
Mathieux misses with a few strikes there.
Mathieux shoots for a double leg takedown but Mayweather sprawls well. He's pushed Mathieux's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mathieux darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Mathieux is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mathieux cracks Mayweather with a big right hand but Mayweather just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
