Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anastasia Eva Chernova!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tau clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tau takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Chernova lands a left hand that snaps the head of Tau backwards.
Tau unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Chernova working aggressively here.
Tau successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chernova throwing strikes from guard but Tau blocks nicely.
Tau on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tau tries to get out of the position.
Tau looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Tau throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Chernova lands a couple of digs.
Chernova must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chernova really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tau is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tau is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chernova is controlling him.
Tau manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chernova manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chernova is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Chernova tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tau accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chernova has momentary wrist control but Tau slips an elbow through the middle.
Tau lands a couple of elbows.
Tau throwing strikes but missing.
Tau will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tau is looking to work some ground and pound but Chernova has wrist control.
Chernova looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tau is one step ahead there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tau stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chernova swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tau pushes down on Chernova's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chernova wants to get back to full guard.
Chernova keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Chernova has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tau is working away from the top position though.

Tau takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Tau not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Chernova is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tau passes the guard and advances to mount!
Chernova is in all sorts of trouble here.
The referee warns Chernova that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Tau is landing with some decent strikes but Chernova is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Tau lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Chernova! Tau sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Chernova and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Boda Tau!
Boda Tau looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I am Boda T, FEAR ME!'.
