The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tompson tries to clinch there but Fisher circles away.

Fisher is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Tompson jumps into side control!

Tompson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fisher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fisher is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tompson is controlling him well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

No joy there for Fisher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sean Tompson will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tompson wants to free his trapped foot but Fisher is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Tompson is looking to advance position but Fisher won't allow it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Tompson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sean Tompson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tompson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
