The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowak tries to move into range but Vartanov moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Vartanov connects with the punch.
Vartanov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nowak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nowak throws a predictable looking body shot
and Vartanov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Jan Nowak has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Vartanov has knocked Nowak down with a huge combo! Vartanov steps away and waves a wobbly Nowak back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Nowak is rocked!
Nowak attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Vartanov cracks Nowak with a left hook right on the temple and Nowak goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Vartanov lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Nowak is OK!
