Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Guise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacques Guise!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Neil!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guise moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Neil moves out of range of the body kick.
Nice body punch from Neil.
Neil connects with the punch.
Neil is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Neil misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Guise counters with a nice kick to the body.
Neil's jab looks to have found its range, popping Guise under the eye.
Neil lands a nice shot to the body.
Neil digs a good hook to Guise's body.
Neil fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Neil takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Neil looks to throw the jab but Guise is out of range.

Guise has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Jacques Guise wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Neil misses with a looping right.

Guise keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guise wants to stand up but Neil manages to regain full guard.

Guise slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neil had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guise defends it easily.
Guise slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Guise knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Neil on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Guise wants to control from the top but Neil keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacques Guise will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Guise throws a sloppy head kick and Neil moves out of range easily.
A punch lands to the side of Guise 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Neil scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Neil with a jab.
Michael Neil seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Neil throws a leg kick that misses.
Neil scores with a shot to the body.
Guise tries to land a front kick but Neil steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Michael Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guise looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Neil loads up on a big right hand but Guise slips the punch.
Guise avoids the body shot from Neil.

Guise connects with a solid leg kick.
Guise checks the leg kick nicely there.
Neil connects with a body shot that sends Guise's belly button to the back.
Guise ducks under a wild hook from Neil.
Neil scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Guise looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Neil!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Guise controlling the positon.
Guise looking to hold on to the position here but Neil rolls and ends up regaining guard.
Guise has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neil escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Guise gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neil has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Guise can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Neil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Guise shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Neil's guard.

Guise shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Neil is trying to defend but Guise finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Guise in particular looking to stall.

Neil slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Guise is posturing up here but Neil has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Guise tries to roll out but it's too tight and Guise has to tap! Slick submission there by Neil!
