Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dhe Orele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kustaa Pohjanala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orele's entrance music is Ironman. A fine choice. Pohjanala is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by AC/DC - Hard as a Rock. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orele dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pohjanala misses with a looping right.

Dhe Orele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Orele lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Orele.
Orele throws a quick inside leg kick.
Orele takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pohjanala fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Orele fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pohjanala has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Pohjanala throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Orele.
Orele really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pohjanala's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Orele connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pohjanala scrambles back to his feet.

Pohjanala changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Orele tries to avoid it but Pohjanala manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Orele to the ground. Orele escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pohjanala lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Orele works the jab nicely.
Orele throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pohjanala sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Orele cracks Pohjanala with an open hand slap.
Pohjanala displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Orele throws out the jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pohjanala.

Orele is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Orele throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pohjanala tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Orele is in Pohjanala's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Pohjanala bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Orele's guard.

Pohjanala got a little sloppy there for a moment and Orele has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pohjanala has managed to get both his arms back between Orele's legs - danger averted.

Pohjanala drops back, looking for a kneebar! Orele looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Orele looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Orele!

Orele has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
