PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blake Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ritter has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Blake Ritter is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ritter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jackson throws a series of punches but Ritter avoids them all with ease.
Ritter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Ritter moves out of range.

Jack Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson tries for a takedown but Ritter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ritter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Ritter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ritter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jackson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ritter is controlling him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Ritter shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ritter checks a leg kick.

Jackson tries to clinch but Ritter moves away

and Ritter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jackson is trying to break the clinch but Ritter has him pressed against the cage.
Jackson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Ritter has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ritter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - Ritter dives into Jackson's guard.
Ritter wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Jackson wants to stand and escape but Ritter is having none of it.
Ritter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ritter stands and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ritter passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jackson!

Ritter wants to finish this one by submission but Jackson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ritter.

Ritter has control of Jackson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jackson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Ritter is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jackson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jackson!

Ritter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.

Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.

Ritter prevents Jackson from breaking the clinch.

Ritter wants to sweep but no luck.
Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Ritter's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ritter has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up.
Ritter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jackson, as that shot connected.

Ritter is just content to waste time from the top position. Jackson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ritter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

I've got Ritter winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
