Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stan Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Lanastar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Johnson misses with a double jab.

Johnson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lanastar is trying to defend but Johnson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Johnson wants to free his trapped foot but Lanastar is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lanastar does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Johnson connects with a nice short shot to Lanastar's temple.

Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Lanastar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lanastar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lanastar is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Johnson lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Lanastar! Johnson sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Lanastar and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
