The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jinxi, right into the meat.

Gals looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gals missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Gals content to control rather than advance.
Jinxi is doing well to control the position and prevent Gals from advancing to side control.
Gals throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gals is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jinxi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gals is working away from the top position though.
Gals is looking to take a break and control but Jinxi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jinxi has his hands clasped together around Gals's back. He's all about the action.
Jinxi tries to get to full guard but Gals has control of the leg.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jinxi holds on and takes a little breather.
