The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakickiene throws a leg kick that misses.
A head kick lands from Sakickiene that sends Hayate to the canvas. Hayate tries to scramble back to his feet but Sakickiene brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Tatsuyo Hayate has been cut.

Sakickiene has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Hayate is still on wobbly legs! Can Sakickiene finish him?
Sakickiene pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sakickiene is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hayate.
Hayate seems to have recovered his senses.
Sakickiene throws a sloppy head kick and Hayate moves out of range easily.

Sakickiene throws a chopping leg kick but Hayate manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Sakickiene is breathing heavily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sakickiene.
Sakickiene tries to clinch but Hayate moves out of range.
Hayate dodges the punch combination from Sakickiene.

Hayate scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hayate is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sakickiene knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hayate has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sakickiene is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hayate yanks on the arm and Sakickiene is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hayate.
