The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laid chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bravo can pounce on him.
Bravo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Laid momentarily.
Bravo jabs Laid to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Chael Bravo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bravo misses with a low kick.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bravo digs a good body shot into Laid's ribs.
Bravo stalks Laid and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Laid's face. Laid staggers backwards, shaken.

and Bravo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Laid showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bravo.
Laid is trying desperately to land a takedown but Bravo is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Laid.

Bravo is keen to just control but Laid is a slippery customer.
Bravo tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Laid.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bravo here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Bravo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Laid's calf.

Bravo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bravo cracks Laid with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
