The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertoto shoots in for a double leg but St Pierre sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bertoto fails to land the takedown.
St Pierre tries to keep at a distance but Bertoto has taken the fight into the clinch.
St Pierre drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bertoto has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed St Pierre clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Bertoto is hanging on to St Pierre's back as he tries to escape.
St Pierre takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Bertoto is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but St Pierre won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Bertoto off his unconscious opponent!

In his post fight interview, Valerio Bertoto started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
