Solomon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. In A Heartbeat kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Muhammad Solomon is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Muhammad Solomon!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karaev takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Solomon misses with a left hand
and Karaev counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Karaev slips a straight right by Solomon.
Karaev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Solomon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Solomon lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Solomon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Alan Karaev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Solomon in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

and Solomon counters with a crisp one two that drops Karaev! Solomon thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Karaev to his feet! Karaev is in big trouble!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Karaev doesn't manage to clinch there - Solomon circles away.

Karaev sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That kick from Solomon tenderised Karaev's leg. Karaev is trying to keep his angry face on.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Solomon.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Karaev lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Solomon has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Solomon and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Solomon has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Karaev has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Karaev there as he acknowledges the shot.

Karaev tries to land a front kick but Solomon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Solomon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Karaev moves away.

Solomon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Karaev lands with an overhand left.
Solomon lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Karaev goes down and covers up as Solomon starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, Muhammad Solomon thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
