Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Atkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Boris!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Atkin as Boris shoots in.
Atkin tried to score with a low kick but Boris checks it.
Atkin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Boris connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Boris lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


It looks like Lee Atkin has been cut.
Boris uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Atkin.

Boris is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Atkin's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boris seems to be working for a kimura but Atkin defends the submission attempt.
Atkin is looking to get back to full guard here but Boris has managed to pass to side control instead.

Boris is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Atkin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Atkin is looking to regain half guard here but Boris keeps moving and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Atkin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Atkin tries to improve position but can't.

Boris is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Atkin has escaped the position, nice work there.

Boris working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Atkin is looking for a sweep.

Atkin struggling a bit here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boris tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boris is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Atkin looks calm but he's in trouble here. Boris gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Atkin is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Boris lets go of the hold and Atkin can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bill Boris!
