The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Massara scores with a push kick.
Om swings for the body but Massara moves out of range.
Om blocks a head kick by Massara.
Massara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Om shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Massara manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Om would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Om has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Anders Om wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Massara throws a head kick that Om semi-blocks.
Om sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Om throws out a loose jab but Massara uses good head movement to avoid it.
Massara throws a wild body kick that Om sees coming a mile off.
Massara drops his hands momentarily and Om takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Massara displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Om throws out the jab.

Om rushes Massara and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Om misses with a knee strike.

Om has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Massara is trying to keep an underhook but Om manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Om lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Massara is trying to maintain the position but Om is very close to passing his half guard.
Om prevents Massara from standing back up.
Massara looks gassed!
Massara tries to get to full guard but Om has control of the leg.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Om wants to pass to mount but Massara is defending the position.

Massara tries to roll over but Om keeps him under control.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Om is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Massara!
Om sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Massara bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Om lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Massara! Om sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Massara and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
