Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nogueira connects with a body shot.
Nogueira stuffs the takedown attempt from Batista. Batista gets slowly back to his feet.
Batista circles away from the clinch attempt.
Batista avoids the head kick by Nogueira.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Nogueira.
Nogueira lands with a kick to the temple. Batista shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Batista chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nogueira can pounce on him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Batista misses with a takedown
and Nogueira moves into the clinch.

Batista is trying desperately to land a takedown but Nogueira is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Batista.

Batista has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nogueira avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Nogueira's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Nogueira breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Batista throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nogueira was covering up waiting for the punch and Batista finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Batista is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Batista stops Nogueira from standing up.
Batista controls from within his opponent's guard.

Nogueira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Batista on the ground.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Balboa Batista hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Nice shot lands for Nogueira.
Nogueira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nogueira feints a jab promting Batista to slip. Nogueira then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Batista slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Nogueira works Batista's body with a nice hook.
Batista is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nogueira throws a sloppy head kick and Batista moves out of range easily.
Joilton Nogueira is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Batista moves in looking to clinch but Nogueira pushes him off.
Batista drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nogueira is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Batista is looking to take a break and control but Nogueira is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Batista seems to have recovered his senses.

Nogueira escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nogueira lands a big head kick that sends Batista tumbling to the mat! Nogueira takes a step backwards and waves Batista back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Batista shoots in and drives through. Nogueira sprawls well.
Batista gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Nogueira gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Batista is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joilton Nogueira!
