Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrence Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terrence Tate!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho swings for the body but Tate moves out of range.
Carvalho throws a right hand that Tate ducks under and follows up with a left that Tate also avoids with ease.
Carvalho is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tate will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Carvalho misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tate.
Tate misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tate rushes Carvalho and presses him up against the cage.
Tate drags the fight down to the ground.
Carvalho wants to control from the top but Tate keeps moving.
Carvalho content to stall in guard here.
Carvalho trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tate is keeping the position for now.
Carvalho forces his way into half guard.
Carvalho wants to control but Tate is keeping him busy.

Tate pushes Carvalho off looking to stand but Carvalho dives back in and keeps control.
Tate looks gassed!
Carvalho lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Tate is staying active underneath Carvalho, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Carvalho looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tate with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Tate is trying to control but can't.
Carvalho winds up and cracks Tate with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Carvalho is stalling here. Tate is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Carvalho seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tate has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Carvalho is trying to improve his position.
Carvalho is trying to control Tate's posture but Tate avoids it.
Carvalho sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Carvalho works his way to full guard. Good work.
Carvalho controls Tate momentarily but Tate frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carvalho tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Carvalho is trying to control the position but Tate postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carvalho is pulling down on Tate's head to control his posture.
Tate preventing the sweep.
Carvalho striking off his back but it's not causing Tate any problems.
Carvalho could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Carvalho gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tate counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Carvalho pushes a forearm under Tate's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Tate is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
