Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gucci One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Godbey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Godbey has chosen Back in Black as his entrance music. Gucci One has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One tries to clinch up but Godbey circles away and keeps his distance.

Godbey clinches up with One and pushes him back against the cage.
One trying to stall but Godbey improves his position.
One tries to work over Godbey's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Godbey breaks from the clinch.
One tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Godbey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

One throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Godbey preventing the sweep.
One could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

One has his foot on Godbey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Godbey works his way back into a safe position though.
Godbey seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Godbey wants to control from the top but One keeps moving.

One tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Godbey controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

One throws his legs up looking for a submission but Godbey uses it to pass to side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
One is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Godbey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Godbey working One over with strikes.
Godbey is looking to take a break and control but One is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
One trying to control from the bottom.
One keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

One looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
One is looking to improve his position.

Godbey sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. One defending well though.
Godbey is trying to control the action in half guard but One is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Godbey throws a combination but it was largely blocked by One.

Godbey moves into the clinch successfully.

Godbey breaks from the clinch.
One looks for a takedown but Godbey sprawls well.
Good standup being displayed there by Godbey as he connects with a hook.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Godbey rushes One and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Godbey breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Godbey lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Godbey.

Godbey takes the fight into the clinch.

Godbey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Godbey has closed the distance and engaged One in a clinch.
One tries to pull guard but Godbey holds him up against the cage and eventually One drops back down to his feet.
One wants to break the clinch but can't.
Godbey drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Godbey manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Godbey dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

One looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
One looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Godbey throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
One wants to control from the top but Godbey keeps moving.
One trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
One trying to control but Godbey is working from the bottom.

Godbey thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Godbey wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
One tries for a takedown but Godbey circles away easily

and Godbey counters with a shoot takedown. One fights it but they end up in guard.

Godbey has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing One to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Godbey is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - One pulls down on the head and he's put Godbey to sleep! This one is all over!
