Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Solrac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Daley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Solrac!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Solrac as Daley shoots in.

Daley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Daley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Solrac is looking to get to half guard.
Daley connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Solrac really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Solrac manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Solrac is trying to get back to full guard.
Solrac moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Daley drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Solrac dives on top into guard.
Daley wants to sweep but no luck.

Daley is trying to control the position but Solrac postures up.
Solrac trying to control but Daley is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Daley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Solrac gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Solrac advances to half guard.
Daley is breathing heavily.
Solrac works his way into full mount!

Solrac working for a submission but Daley is keeping him at bay.
Daley tries to hold on but Solrac postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Solrac wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Solrac trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Solrac is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Daley has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Solrac thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Daley throwing hammer fists to the chest of Solrac. What's that going to do exactly?

Solrac working for a guillotine from mount but Daley is in no mood to give up.
Daley tries to lock up and control but Solrac gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Solrac prevents Daley from getting the reversal.
Solrac avoids the attempt from Daley to control.

Solrac looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Solrac is working for a guillotine from mount but Daley frees his head quite easily.
Daley is looking to improve his position but Solrac isn't that keen on the idea.
Daley is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Daley is trying to escape the mount.
Daley tries to lock up and control but Solrac gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Daley is trying desperately to improve position.

Solrac working for a submission but Daley is keeping him at bay.
Solrac wants to take his opponent's back but Daley doesn't allow it.

Solrac swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Daley is now in Solrac's guard. A big mistake from Solrac there, giving up the dominant position!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Solrac wants to stand up but Daley is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Carlos Solrac will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!



Daley scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Solrac regains half guard.
Solrac gets full guard.
Daley looking to pass the guard.
Solrac controls Daley momentarily but Daley frees himself.
Solrac wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Solrac being controlled here, momentarily.
Daley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solrac swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Solrac is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Daley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Solrac is keeping the position for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Daley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Solrac looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Daley is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Solrac knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Solrac gets back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Daley trying to control the action but Solrac is working from the bottom.
Solrac won't allow Daley to pass to mount.
Solrac slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Solrac keeping moving, preventing Daley from controlling successfully.

Solrac looking for a guillotine here but Daley defends easily.

Daley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Solrac is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Solrac not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Daley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Daley tries to free his leg and advance position but Solrac is retaining full guard.
Solrac looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Daley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Solrac as he avoids it easily.
Daley shoots in but no luck this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Daley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Solrac circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Daley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Solrac connects with a looping right hand.
Daley wants to clinch up but Solrac keeps it at a distance.
Solrac fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Daley manages to avoid it.
Solrac looks to land a body kick but Daley moved away.
Daley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Solrac circles away.
Daley tries for a takedown but Solrac sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Daley fails in his attempt to clinch.
Some wild striking there from Solrac.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Daley will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Daley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Solrac sprawls well initially but Daley persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Solrac is defending against the submission attempts here by Daley.
Daley works his way into full mount!
Solrac wants to try and get back to his feet.

Solrac is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Solrac working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Daley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Daley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Daley pushes down on Solrac's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Daley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Daley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Solrac has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Daley is working away from the top position though.
Solrac wants to improve his position but Daley is controlling well.
Daley lands with a punch from half guard.
Daley perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Daley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Solrac trying to get back to full guard but Daley takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Solrac is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Daley wants to control the pace but Solrac is squirming around nicely.
Solrac is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Solrac is looking to get to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Daley wants to finish this one by submission but Solrac is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Daley.
Solrac bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Paul Daley.
I think Daley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
